Penn State Not Permanently Damaged!

I wrote this to Dave Whitley, who wrote a nasty column about PSU and it's "not being able to find a football coach willing to step in the "manure" of Penn State Football--and claiming that the Penn State Brand is permanently damaged. Boy did that article make me angry! "Those of us that have loved Penn State all of o...ur lives continue to love PSU and all that it stands for--the Pride, Tradition, Great Sports, Great Education. And don't forget this year that Penn State tied for first place in the number of football players to graduate. After all, THAT was the Grand Experiment--to have a top quality sports program while at the same time provide quality education with a high graduation rate. Whether you like it or not, The Grand Experiment has worked, and will continue to work no matter who is at the helm--because PSU students, professors, and alumni expect and demand excellence on the field as well as in the classroom. That always has been and always will be the Penn State Brand--and will not be permanently damaged by what Jerry Sandusky is accused of doing."
